Black Backdrop Series
A new empowering boudoir portrait experience centred around simplicity, emotion and beautiful light.
Using a minimalist black backdrop outdoors in natural light, these sessions are designed to create timeless portraits with a fine art feel. The focus is entirely on you, your expression, and the connection created in front of the camera.
You can choose classic portraits or experience the Wet Set, where water becomes part of the creative process. Wet hair, glistening skin and flowing fabrics create striking black and white imagery full of mood, texture and movement, or both!
For those who want to explore further, there is also the opportunity to create abstract, body-scape inspired photographs. Whether you prefer understated elegance or something a little more daring, every session is tailored to your comfort level and artistic vision.

Who are these sessions for?
The Black Backdrop Series is for individuals, couples and duos looking for something a little different.
Come as you are. These sessions are intentionally stripped back, allowing the focus to remain on you. Your story, your emotion, your confidence.
Whether you're drawn to timeless portraits, an empowering boudoir experience or the artistic Wet Set, every session is tailored to your comfort level and creative vision.
No modelling experience is needed. I'll guide you throughout the session, creating images that celebrate your confidence, individuality and natural beauty.

Near Ladock, Cornwall (private garden) less than 10 minutes from the A30.

Session Availability & Times
As these sessions take place outdoors using natural light, they are weather dependent. Sessions are held on dry days with light winds to ensure the best possible experience and results.
Morning, afternoon & evening appointments are available (just avoiding middle of day)
Exact start times are flexible and can be arranged to suit you.
As every session is lit naturally, the look and feel of your portraits will vary depending on the light at the time of your shoot, making each gallery beautifully unique.

Plan your session
We'll arrange a suitable date and time, discuss your ideas, styling options and any questions you may have before your session.
STEP 03
Create your portraits
On the day, I'll guide you through the process from start to finish. Whether you're creating timeless portraits or exploring something more artistic, you'll be guided through posing, expression and movement.
STEP 04
Delivering photos
After your session, you'll receive a private gallery of your best images. Select your included images, with the option to purchase your Complete Collection if you'd like to keep more.
FAQ
Can I bring a friend?
Yes of course! so long as you're comfortable with them watching (or even assisting!) with your session.
Do you do group bookings?
You're welcome to come in groups of 2 or 3 maximum, and have 30mins sessions one after the other. If it's a bigger group/less time wanted per person, please contact me using the form below for a custom quote.
What should we wear for our session?, and do I have to be wet?
The images will be in Black & White, so textures and interesting fabrics look good. Stick to Black/White or other high contrast options. Rough denim, shiny satin, sheer fabrics and lace all look good.
Being wet - this depends on you! You can stick to classic portraits or boudoir style images and stay dry. You can choose to be misted over on your body and clothing only, or get your hair wet/fully drenched too. Each level of undress or wetness is your choice.
How long does it take to get our photos?
After your session I will edit all the best images in my signature style and upload them to a private, password protected gallery within 14 days of your session. You then choose your final 5 or 10 images, or choose to upgrade and unlock the whole gallery.
